HII have tried unsuccessfully to get SMS integrated into my ACT. It always appears to be available but it never works. I have a VISTA system (yeah sorry) and it wouldnt accept the SMS system I tried. Has anyone actually got a system going? Regards Wes ![]() |

| Hi Wes, Have to say I'm not aware of anyone attempting to use ACT to send SMS out to the contacts in the database. What software are you using? both act version and SMS software? As the addon's i have found via google are only for early versions of ACT such as V4 and V6. Dan |

| Ah well I think I've found better. I had found this great program at http://www.sms4act.co.uk - my problem was that we couldnt get it to run on my Vista PC. It may be a corruption on my PC that is causing the problem - tho I am not sure its just Vista playing up. I am using ACT 8 & this program (if it would only work) would be great for the purpose. | Hmm, the problem could be to do with ACT8 not being designed to run on Vista, ACT10 is the first version of ACT actually designed for Vista, so there could be any number of unknown problems due to this.. That SMS4act site is a bit vague, it doesn't specify which versions it is compatible with, simply "SMS4ACT will run in any environment where ACT is able to." ![]() |

| Hmm, well ACT 10 is supported on Vista, i would maybe suggest updating to the latest patch (10.0.3), but to be honest SMS integration is not something I've ever dealt with. You may be better off contact the people who make it, all i can see on the web page is this "SMS4ACT is owned and distributed by 4Productions Ltd, for further information please call 08707 606140, email info@4productions.co.uk or request an information pack by land mail to 1-3 Lime Hill Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1LJ" I'd probably suggest giving them a call see if they have any troubleshooting procedures for the software. |
